Here is a brief overview of the highlights from our trip to the South… We began our trip in the Big Easy. What a wild place!  We began our first morning with beignets (pronounced ‘been-yay’), basically a big piece of fried dough goodness, at a little shop in the French Quarter where we were staying. Happy Thanksgiving! As I enjoy this fabulously warm (75°!) Southern Thanksgiving here in Tallahassee, Florida, I’m excited to share some good news! This weekend I had to re-embrace white flour. It was necessary. I made raviolis. I had no idea they were so easy! The most difficult part was putting some muscle into rolling out the dough. And being sure they were sealed well enough that they didn’t come apart when boiled. This recipe serves about 2-3. I would double or quadruple it and freeze the extras! Mushroom Ravioli Olio ...

I have been missing the kitchen like crazy. So with my day off, I decided to spend some time with a few of my favorites: butter, sugar, and flour.
